The Responsible Tech Revolution: How We Can Co-Create a Better Tech Future

Technology deeply impacts everyone across the world, yet its development and deployment involves very few of us. This leaves society vulnerable to the "unintended consequences" of technology and a misalignment between technology and the public interest. Social media, in particular, posing thorny social problems. Given its impact on our civil liberties, the human condition, and democracy as large, its behooves us to have a more responsible and collaborative approach to technology. Something has to change. 

In this talk, All Tech Is Human founder David Ryan Polgar will provide an overview of the massive problem we currently face followed by the needed steps in designing a tech future that is aligned with the public interest. Leveraging insights across multiple stakeholder groups, David will discuss the role of the tech industry, tech workers, policymakers, journalists, the general public, and the underlying knowledge base of researchers, advocates, and activists that stimulate social change. Our tech future has not been decided, so now is the time to design a future that works for us all.
