Many IT strategies focus on “selling” and tracking the be benefits of DevOps. Whereas it is a good thing to “keep an eye on the ball” it is important to create big picture awareness of the consequences of introducing DevOps enablers in established IT organizations.
Full scale automation, artificial intelligence, process simplification and introduction of new cultural paradigms do challenge established organisational and operational models and introduce risks that need to be considered before committing to a full-scale DevOps transformation.
