Cognitive computing with IBM Watson

In this session, Discover Watson an artificially intelligent computer system developed by IBM. IBM Watson is a Cognitive System, the next wave of computing that builds upon the Tabulation era that started in the 1900’s and the Programmatic Computing era that started in the 1950’s. IBM Watson represents a new class of industry specific analytic solutions that leverages deep content analysis and evidence based reasoning. IBM Watson can continuously ingest and analyze Big Data (both structured and unstructured) and discover new patterns and insights in a matter of seconds. A unique combination of three capabilities set IBM Watson apart from other systems:

- Natural language processing to help understand the complexities of human speech and writing as both a means of user interaction and as source of data ,

- Hypothesis generation and evaluation by applying advanced analytics to weight and evaluate responses based on relevant evidence,
