Infoshare 2022 Startup Contest
This year we received 466 applications from 62 countries but only 20 of them made it to the semifinals. Startups competing in the contest were judged by a team of investors and business experts on business potential, innovation, team, and the presentation itself. The total prize pool of €30,000 EUR was funded by the Mayor of the City of Gdańsk.
3rd place: MAB Robotics
inspection and maintenance solutions for the underground environment
MAB Robotics from Poland designed a solution to help inspect and maintain underground infrastructure. The solution's innovation lies in replacing existing wheeled platforms with walking robots. This will allow inspection of currently inaccessible areas, reduce the number of excavations and cut costs.
2nd place: Ender Turing
sales and customer care elevated with AI
Ender Turing is an Estonian startup providing call center performance management software to speed up quality control, coach agents, and boost customer satisfaction. With its machine learning-based speech recognition solution, the software translates all calls into searchable text, enables automation to review calls, and provides personalized feedback to an agent. The solution already supports 26 languages and there are plans for further development.
The winner: CareTech Human!
automated urinary track health checks
CareTech Human is launching a breakthrough solution for remote monitoring of urological parameters to enable early detection of urinary tract diseases and monitoring of their recurrence. This is especially important for men who struggle with prostatic hypertrophy and overactive bladder syndrome. There are about 14 million of them in the world.
The principle is simple: the user receives the device and clips it to the toilet bowl. From then on, the platform automatically performs screening for a number of urological diseases, adapting to the user's habits. The device is available in several versions. One of them also analyzes biomarkers of volatile organic compounds in human urine.
Startup Contest – more than a competition
Apart from having a chance to win a cash prize, startups attending the event could connect with more than 100 investors from around the world – business angels, VC and CVC funds, including Innovation Nest, KAYA.VC, Lunar Ventures, Open Ocean, and APX. Outside the Startup Contest, they could find each other at the Virtual Startup Expo and the dedicated Matchmaking platform. The Matchmaking 1:1 meetings were held online starting Monday, and live from Thursday in a specially dedicated zone at Amber Expo.
