Co Creating the Future: Poland’s Role in the European Network of AI Factories
12:10 - 12:30, 20th of May (Wednesday) 2026 / Innovation
Europe is entering a new phase of artificial intelligence development based on collaboration, resource sharing, and the joint development of modern solutions. The AI Factories initiative is an important step in this direction, creating a network that helps accelerate innovation and strengthens Europe's technological independence. Poland is playing an increasingly important role in this process, developing supercomputers, competences, and collaboration between science, business, and government.
The presentation will showcase how the Cyfronet AGH University of Science and Technology (AGH) Academic Computer Center is leveraging supercomputing infrastructure to develop artificial intelligence and how it is participating in European initiatives such as AI Factories. There will also be practical examples of the use of this technology and the challenges facing science, business, and public administration, from data access and specialist development to energy efficiency.
The most important question is: how can Poland co-create the future of AI in Europe? This presentation is an invitation to conversation and collaboration for all those who want to influence the direction of development of new technologies.
