Marta Zucker: Startup Writer, Published Author, Lecturer, Feminist, and Entrepreneur
• Focus on women in technology, startup trends, and bridging Silicon Valley and Poland
• Active in the Bay Area startup ecosystem and author of two books about the success of Polish startups in Silicon Valley
Marta began her career in Bucharest building the Romanian branch of an international company from scratch. She later founded a successful television and film production company in Warsaw. Following her professional experience she moved to New York City and later to San Francisco. For many years she has worked with the startup communities in Silicon Valley and Poland. She was also chapter head of a San Francisco-based discussion group for people interested in new technology. The group was created to integrate the Polish tech community in the Bay Area.
Marta is also a lecturer at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun, where she has classes on entrepreneurship, startups, Lean Methodology.
She is also a co-owner of a small business consulting firm, KarStanS Ltd, based in Torun.
She spent several years traveling through India, Nepal, Southeast Asia and New Zealand, and has climbed several Himalayan peaks. She currently splits her time between San Francisco and Poland.
