Zite

Mark is a technology executive and entrepreneur who has worked at four successful startups. Most recently, Mark was the CEO of Zite, which he sold twice: first to CNN in 2011 and then from CNN to Flipboard in 2014. Prior to Zite, Mark was a product manager at three search startups: SideStep (a travel search engine acquired by Kayak for $180M in 2007), Kosmix (a social media platform acquired by Walmart for $300M in 2011), and Powerset (a natural language search company acquired by Microsoft for $100M in 2008). Through the Microsoft acquisition of Powerset, Mark worked as the program management leader for the Powerset office of Bing. Mark is currently advising and investing in startups as he looks for the next big opportunity.
