Magdalena Jander

Magdalena Jander, PhD – Biotechnologist, Technology Scout, CEO of UVera. UVera is a fusion of innovation and interdisciplinary approach to skin protection against the whole spectrum of UV sun radiation as well as anti-pollution factors. Our mission is to provide mankind with natural & safe UV protection products with concomitant decrease in negative environmental impact on the planet. Magdalena is experienced in developing projects merging science and business. Laureate of two international fellowships – at Sorbonne Université Pierre et Marie Curie in Paris and at Osaka University in Japan, where she was leading projects for Novartis and Sumitomo Electric Industries linked to medical applications in biotech & pharma industry. Magdalena completed postgraduate studies in „Market potential assessment of research projects” as well as she graduated the “Leadership Academy” – development program guided by Harvard educators and established by Center for Leadership. In 2019 Magdalena became laureate of Businesswoman of the year in Leader of Innovative Technologies category in Poland. In 2020, together with UVera team, she won EIT Health Catapult Award for the best Biotech Startup in Europe, thanks to which UVera was displayed on Nasdaq Tower in NY!
