Cornelius Mueller

Cornelius Mueller is Research Director at Invest Europe, the association representing Europe’s private equity, venture capital and infrastructure sectors, as well as their investors.

During his tenure at Invest Europe, Cornelius has spearheaded the creation of the European Database Cooperative (EDC), the largest non-commercial and pan-European source of private equity statistics. This authoritative and comprehensive database is used by Invest Europe’s 650 members, EU institutions, the OECD, global investors, national regulators, academics and the media, as an essential source of information about private equity and venture capital.

Cornelius holds a PhD from Durham University, where he focused on venture capital financing and the performance of spin-outs. He previously worked as a research associate at the university, analysing business performance and economic impact. He is a regular speaker at private equity and venture capital conferences.
