Infoshare Startup Contest 2020 – who applied this year?

677 application from 50 countries

This year’s Startup Contest is not like was before. As the whole Infoshare 2020 conference, the Contest is fully online, so there is no need to travel to Gdansk. Startups taking part in it will fight for the main prize in the form of 20 thousand. euro, funded by the President of the City of Gdańsk.
30th June we closed application process, the first stage. We received 677 applications from 50 countries, the most from:

• Poland (237 applications)
• Great Britain (49)
• Estonia (45)
• Germany (44)
• Israel (27)

Top5 industries

Among applying startups there were 41% of seed-stage startups and 59% of early-stage startups. What industries represented by projects were leaders? As in the previous year, Health & MedTech was on the top.

Quarterfinalists announcement

On our website, you can find the best 100 projects. On 7-16/09/2020, they will compete in the online quarterfinals, which are a new element of the Infoshare Startup Contest. The participants are given the task to present their groundbreaking project with a 90-second video.

30 projects will be qualified for the semi-finals, presenting their short presentations to international investors and competing for entry to the finals.

What next?

The Startup Contest final will take place on September 30. During Infoshare 2020 Online The 7 best projects will take part in it. A jury of investors and business experts will select 3 winners, each of whom will receive virtual checks.
