Ria Thomas

Ria Thomas is the Managing Director of Polynia Advisory, which advises Boards of Directors and Executive Committees of global firms on cyber resilience. She has extensive experience with cyber-focused corporate governance strategies and cyber crisis response, including advising over two dozen global firms as they navigated a range of live cyber crises.

Ria spent the first decade of her career with the US government focused on international security issues. Over the last decade, she has headed Cybersecurity and Business Resiliency consulting practices for several private sector firms with a focus on multiple markets, including Europe, UK, US, Middle East, and Asia. Prior to Polynia, she was a Partner and Global Co-Lead for Cybersecurity for Brunswick Group. Ria has a J.D. from Georgetown University and a B.A. from American University, DC, and is a NY licensed attorney. She writes and speaks extensively on cyber resilience.
