Nikolay Davidov
iTech Capital Director, Pult Group Managing Director
Despite the fact that he was born in a family of telecoms engineers in Moscow, Nicholas started his first business in selling sawdust to neighbor farmers at the age of four, but soon became confused by finger-counting his revenues and went for a financial degree at National University - Higher School of Economics. While squandering school by surfing internet, he became interested in IT and then became another pesky salesman of expensive hardware at Cisco and western systems integrators in Russia. Nick figured out that perfect products are easier to sell , so he started to help companies build products and soon ended up helping to build companies. To bring practice to theory Nick enrolled for a MSc in International Business in Emerging Markets in the University of Edinburgh where he actively engaged in student and scholar activities - whisky tasting society and local internet geeks union. To earn a living Nick was making some powerpoint slides for strategy and fundraising at nighttime, until respected investors driven by divine inspiration have chosen him to become investment professional with iTech Capital private equity fund for which he invested in a portfolio of growing internet companies. Nick is an expert in online marketing and self-PR, he occupies board seats at iConText and Garpun and oversees strategy, business development and acquisitions at Pult Group as a managing director. In spare time he practices storytelling with his daughter and jumps on a trampoline.
