Katarzyna Jakimowicz

Katarzyna Jakimowicz is Senior Programme Advisor for European Innovation Council pilot as well as Business Angels and Tech Capital Market, in the Investments and SMEs department of the Directorate General for Research and Innovation. In particular, she is responsible for setting up an equity fund for the EIC.
Before joining the European Commission, she was an Associate Director in the Lisbon Council, a leading EU think tank based in Brussels and Global Policy Director at Open Evidence, research consultancy focused on evidence-based EU policy analysis where she advised EU on entrepreneurship, ICT and innovation dossier in a broad range of issues: big data, internet governance, open data, digital entrepreneurship and SMEs, access to finance, eIDAS . Previously, she was working for leading multinational companies in Poland and abroad, managing international brands (eg. L'oreal, Mars, Lay's) as well as running her own entrepreneurial ventures.
Graduate of Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) and Aarhus School of Business (ASB), whe is currently a Harvard Kennedy School of Government Mason Fellow.
