Gosia Karas, PhD, is a Polish-born tech investor with over a decade of experience across Silicon Valley and New York ecosystems.
She invested in over 20 companies and deployed ~$1B in equity in companies including EightSleep, Drift (exited to Vista Equity Partners), Quicknode, Upside Foods, Paystand, WelcomeTech, Bambee, Fetch Robotics (exited to Zebra Tech), Loggi, Konfio.
She is now launching a new VC firm, Attribute, which is looking to invest in early stage AI-first companies with global ambitions.
Prior to building Attribute, she worked at SoftBank in the Bay Area, where she was a co-head of SoftBank's Opportunity Fund, launched SoftBank's $8B LatAm Fund, and served on the Silicon Valley Deal Team. Prior to SoftBank, she worked in large cap private equity in New York, and top tier strategy consulting across Poland, Western Europe and Australia.
She was named among Wall Street Journal’s Nine Women to Watch in Venture Capital in 2021, Venture Capital Journal’s Rising Stars in 2022, and Business Insider's Rising Stars in VC 2022.
She has an MBA degree from Harvard Business School and a PhD in Finance from SGH. Her thesis advisor was prof. Leszek Balcerowicz.
