Gary Whitehill believes Africans Deserve Better. He knows that in order to create the reality which drives inclusive prosperity across Africa, we need to look far beyond western-influenced statistics, trends and “best practices.”
Chosen by The Economist in 2019 as one of Africa’s foremost leadership advisors, Gary leads the geopolitical foresight practice for Africa’s premier strategic advisory agency directing digital, economic, physical, and social infrastructure investments to empower continental self-reliance. In 2017, he partnered with the Vatican and former Archbishop of Cape Coast, Cardinal Peter Turkson, to launch the "Laudato Si Challenge," which was blessed by Pope Francis and targeted causes mentioned in his 2015 encyclical. Widely regarded as the leading authority on building African resilience in the 21st Century, Gary’s current clients include multilateral agriculture, finance & energy institutions, governments, and multinational corporations across sub-Saharan Africa.
