Tom Kludy

An Engineering Leader and Chief Architect at Akamai, where he leads Akamai Inference Platform — a serverless inference offering combining Akamai's globally distributed edge and its cloud datacenters. He directs multiple teams of engineers across the US and Poland, spanning platform, runtime, control plane, and model intelligence. His focus is helping Akamai and its customers bring AI workloads closer to where they're needed: at the edge, at scale, and with the performance and security enterprises expect.

Tom brings 27 years of software engineering and architecture experience to that work. He spent more than two decades at Citrix helping transform a traditional on-premises software portfolio into a cloud-native SaaS business, and along the way worked closely with enterprise customers navigating their own journeys from data center to cloud. That experience shaped his conviction that the hardest part of a platform shift isn't the technology — it's making the new model operationally trustworthy for the people who depend on it.
