Lucas is the Co-founder and CTO of OpenVC.app, a fundraising platform that equips tens of thousands of tech entrepreneurs worldwide with the tools, community and resources they need to successfully raise capital.
However, his journey started far from the boardroom.
After pivoting from law school, he turned his childhood passion for coding into a career as a self-taught software engineer. While still a student, he decided to launch his first startup. Writing the code and building the product was the easy part. The real challenge was learning the hard way, and completely solo, how to market, prospect, close deals, and retain clients. He successfully grew and ultimately sold this first venture to a corporate group, proving that developers can indeed master the business side of things.
Beyond his work at OpenVC, he shares his dual passion for tech and business across the ecosystem. He has taught at university, coached founders at one of Europe’s largest startup accelerators, guided digital transformations for multi-million-euro companies, and authored dozens of articles and guides.
