Senior Regional Representative of the European Investment Fund (EIF) in Poland. EIF helps financial intermediaries (e.g. banks, funds and leasing companies) expand financing for SMEs, start-ups and scale-ups through guarantees, securitisation and fund-of-funds equity investments. As EIF’s ambassador in Poland, he promotes pan-European initiatives such as InvestEU and co-designs Polish solutions drawing on EIF’s 30+ years of experience. A flagship example is Future Tech Poland, a PLN 1.5bn fund-of-funds supporting the VC ecosystem. For promoting EU instruments in Poland, he received special recognition from the Polish Bank Association. Before moving to Warsaw, he led EIF commitments in 15 countries worth EUR 2.5bn. Earlier, he held roles at HSBC in Poland and the UK. He began his career as an economist at the National Bank of Poland, the World Bank and the UN. He holds a PhD from the Warsaw School of Economics under Prof. Leszek Balcerowicz and is an Aspen Young Leaders and TFAS Fellow.
