Gdańsk

Gdańsk is a city of nearly half million people, undoubtedly one of the most popular tourist and cultural centers, resiliently developing university and commercial center. Located at the Bay of Gdańsk, at southern shores of the Baltic Sea. For ages Gdańsk has been playing a key role in exchange of goods between Northern and Western Europe and the countries of Central-Eastern Europe.

Gdańsk, the city established over 1,000 years ago, attracts thousands of tourists each year and connects cultural traditions of many nations. It is a paradise for enthusiasts of old architecture. One can here endlessly wander among beautiful tenement houses and medieval monuments. Additionally, shops “with soul”, charming restaurants and cafés and cultural events, which are to be found nowhere else, create special atmosphere.

There a few theaters, philharmonic, operetta house, summer music stage and three multiplexes in the city. There is also plenty of area to spend active time, from walks on the beach, through bicycle rides, canoeing, to extreme tourism.
